Washington meeting on
agricultural uses of FGD gypsum stimulated EPA and USDA interest in
joint work with EPRI to demonstrate environmental acceptability.
Meeting attendees all expressed
interest in promoting FGD gypsum use in agriculture. Several approached
EPRI about joint work or information sharing to address the possibility
of environmental risk, probably the major non-economic hurdle.
