Spreadsheet Application
All spreadsheet applications must meet EPRI product requirements (e.g., EPRI corporate, software documentation, test cases, etc.) in addition to the spreadsheet requirements below:
- The first tab of the spreadsheet needs to include the software name, acronym, and version; EPRI copyright, EPRI logo, ordering information, and disclaimer notice (see the EPRI Notice of Copyright, Availability of Subject Matter and Disclaimer for EPRI Software
 (105 KB) document).
- If a preproduction spreadsheet application, the Preproduction Software Acceptance Splash Screen content (see Development Process Step 5) is required to be added to the top of the first tab.
- The second tab describes the capabilities of the software, and lists the contents for each tab of the spreadsheet.
- A separate tab (use more if needed) presents test cases (or tutorial) covering the main functions of the spreadsheet, unless separate software documentation (e.g., Software Manual) is provided.
- Cells containing formulas or instructions must be locked (either with a password or without) to prevent accidental changes to the intended calculation.
- Range checking must be implemented on all input fields to verify that user input meets the expected input criteria. Error messages for rejected input must assist the user in making an appropriate entry.
