Nuclear Executive Update
An EPRI Progress Report, January 2011
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Web Tool Provides One-Stop Shopping for Pump Maintenance and Troubleshooting Information

New web tool speeds access to a range of EPRI pump resources, from pump repair specifications to self assessment aids.

EPRI has developed a new web-based resource that will enable nuclear plant operators to more easily access EPRI products related to pump maintenance and troubleshooting. The resource includes a nuclear industry pump database, pump repair specifications, and self assessment aids.

The pump database catalogs all major pumps currently installed in U.S. nuclear power plants. The ability to identify other plants with similar equipment enables users to initiate dialogue regarding common maintenance issues and/or effective maintenance strategies. The self assessment tools enable users to evaluate, for example, their in-plant and corporate programs for managing the reliability and health of critical pumps.

The Nuclear Maintenance and Application Center developed this web-based delivery tool as a prototype for future product deliveries. Features include drop-down menus, search tools and other common web methods for quickly locating resources.

The pump resource is located at:
http://membercenter.epri.com/programs/065755/Pages/Unique%20Pages/PumpResource.aspx

Access is controlled through EPRI membership (EPRI ID and password needed). The web page will be maintained and updated by the Pump Users Group as new technology and information emerges.
