EPRI Participates in Several Edison Electric
Institute Meetings
The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is conducting a
modeling study of the impact of upcoming environmental
regulations on coal plants, and EPRI is providing technical
support to the effort. Tom Wilson is participating as
a technical resource on the Coal Fleet Modeling Work
Group; Bryan Hannegan, Victor Niemeyer, and John Novak
are providing backup. EPRI's direct participation in
the Coal Fleet Modeling Group will ensure that EEI is
using up-to-date information and allows EPRI insights
into key modeling assumptions as EPRI builds its own
regional model.
EEI also held meetings of the Global Climate Change
Subcommittee, the Clean Air Strategy Group, and the
Environment Executive Advisory Committee in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida, June 13-15, in conjunction with the EEI CEO
Convention. John Novak participated in the meetings
and provided updates on relevant EPRI research, programs,
and projects. Bryan Hannegan spoke at the Executive
Advisory Committee meeting, sharing early results from
EPRI's new regional economic model (Prism 2.0) and previewing
the upcoming EPRI Summer Seminar. |
