Information Collection Request: Reporting Detection Limits for Stack Tests
Responding to the EPA Information Collection Request for Electric Utility Steam Generating Units: Reporting Detection Limits for Stack Tests” (EPRI Product 1021357).  As part of its Information Collection Request (ICR) for electric utility steam generating units, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires facilities to report numerical values for all stack test measurements.  If a measurement falls below the detection limit of a test method, the detection limit itself is the reported value.  This brochure discusses the challenges that facilities will face in attempting to comply with detection limit reporting requirements.  The brochure is one in a series of technical papers that EPRI has prepared to help power plant owners provide high-quality ICR data to EPA.  For more information, contact Naomi Goodman, (650 855-2193, ngoodman@epri.com..
