Progress Report Showcases Reactive Capping
Demonstration
Sediment Management Work Group members received current
information on EPRI’s reactive capping demonstration
in the Hudson River at an October meeting in Saratoga
Springs, NY. EPRI’s Jeff Clock reviewed the design,
fabrication, and installation of the capping system
and discussed results from recent monitoring activities.
Performance of the cap, which will remain in place for
12 months, will guide further remedial action at the
site. Other presenters covered sediment remediation
case studies and issues. In addition, attendees visited
the GE Hudson River PCB dredging project. For more information,
contact Jeff Clock, (845) 608-0642, jclock@epri.com.
